Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 gives employees and their representatives the right to file a complaint and request an OSHA inspection if they believe there is a serious hazard or that their employer is not complying with OSHA standards. Workers do not need to know whether a specific OSHA standard has been violated in order to file a complaint.
How to File a Safety and Health Complaint:
Complaints should be filed as soon as possible after the hazard or noncompliance is observed, as OSHA can only issue citations for violations that are currently present or occurred within the past six months.
OSHA takes complaints from workers and their representatives seriously and will keep your information confidential.
